Workshop on participatory studies for the needs of Machghara

A workshop dedicated to participatory studies of needs in the town of Machghara was held in the Machghara municipality building, in the presence of the mayor of Machghara and a number of municipal council members, in addition to representatives from GIZ and the Berghof Foundation, and a group of the town’s residents. The workshop discussed the most prominent challenges facing citizens, and a set of practical proposals and solutions were put forward that will contribute to directing development projects in a way that is in line with the priorities of the local community. This step comes within the municipality’s endeavor to enhance community participation and ensure more comprehensive and effective planning to serve Machghara and its people.
