It’s time to sort wastes

Within “It’s Time to Sort” campaing organized by the Diverting Waste by Encouragement Reuse and Recycling – DAWERR project funded by the USAID – US Agency for International Development in Qaraoun to spread awareness about waste recycling and present its initiatives, which include the establishment of a composting unit in the village by summer 2023 About 150 people participated in the activity, which took place in partnership with the #Municipality of Qaraoun, and in cooperation with the Cultural, Social and Sports Club, the Agricultural Cooperative, and the Muslim Scouts, the Qaraoun Regiment. Participants brought their organic waste and recyclable materials to learn more about the composting process. They also visited the recyclable waste sorting plant in Qaraoun to witness the complete process of processing recyclables there.
